Hi! I'm Emma Cayea.

I'm a creative portrait photographer of 2 years currently based in Worcester, Massachusetts. I was born and raised in Oberlin, Ohio, but I found that I truly belong where the mountains are tall, and the trees are plentiful. I love a good Midwest cornfield, don't get me wrong, but there's something about these misty mountains in New England that keep me coming back time and time again.

When I'm not behind the camera, you might find me in the forest searching for little bugs and mushrooms, or perhaps wrapped up in a blanket on the couch with a cat in my lap. I love music, art of all kinds, and traveling to wherever I can (hence why I recently decided to open my availability as a travel photographer).

I found my passion for photography early in life, taking pictures with old digital and disposable film cameras, photographing whatever I could with what I had at the time. It wasn't until 2024 that I finally took the jump, bought my very first professional camera, and started offering my services to family and friends.

Over the course of the last two years, I've experimented with many genres of photography, starting off with plants, landscapes, and animals. More recently, I've worked to specialize in portraiture with an artistic twist. My main offerings are creative concepts/themed photoshoots, couples, family, and maternity portraits, senior/graduate spotlight sessions, and business branding photoshoots.

My creative portraits have been featured in Lybell Magazine two times in 2026, and I am also a three-time co-photographer of The Northeast Ohio Creative Connection, hosted by Photography by Joe, LLC!

Photography has brought back a spark in me that once felt lost in the rush of growing up, and taking on adulthood headfirst. All of my childhood/teenage years were spent creating, in the form of drawing, painting, sculpting, doing fun makeup, and making music with any instrument I could get my hands on. When I became an adult, got my first full time office job, and had little time left to get creative, I began to understand the internal struggle of no longer being an artist- or at least, I didn't feel like one anymore. Since taking on photography, and recently making it my full-time career, I've never had more creative ideas than I do now. I'm always coming up with a new concept to try, building a Pinterest board, or thinking of new ways to reach people who also want to be creative.

One of my favorite parts of being in this industry are the opportunities I've been given to find new communities. Within those communities, I've found that I am not alone. There is a whole world of people out there who want nothing more than to create art - whether that be for themselves, or to get others inspired to do the same. My goal is just that: create to inspire others, bring like-minded creatives together, and remind people like me that their spark will always be within them.
